The $50 million premier entertainment and event center will feature 6,275 fixed seats, with capacity for 8,500 seats, and 26 luxury and club suites.

The state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to open October 15, 2009. It will host approximately 150 events each year, with more than 1,000,000 visitors annually.

It will feature headline entertainers, professional sports and touring shows. Additional events include trade shows, festivals, cultural and community events. The event center will be home to a CHL franchised hockey team.

The Allen Event Center and Arena is a joint venture of Global Entertainment Corporation, The MGHerring Group and the City of Allen.
